Renovation Perfection

The high ceilings, exposed beams, turquoise chandelier, creamy walls. I love the interior completely.

Perhaps it is the cedar shake shingles that give a home a cottage feel. Maybe it is the texture I love so much. What ever it is, I love the look. There is a product out there called Enviroshake that is a shingle with the look of wood, only made from 95% recycled materials.

White Winter Home.

This is one of those MonochroMAGIC homes. Whites, creams, sparkles and time worn woods, a perfect combination. My favorite accessory in this home is the matching kitty on the bed. Enjoy, Heidi

Sängkammaren har ett ljuvligt burspråk där en liten ärvd soffa pryder sin plats. Gardinerna i råsiden från Curtainhouse Roy Judd faller tungt vid fönstret.

Den gråvita färgskalan går ända in i sovrummet. Säng från Grange, överkast från Provence. Cremefärgade råsidengardiner från Curtainhouse Roy Judd. Kristallkronan och ljusstaken är antika, liksom den maffiga klädhängaren. Byrån är inköpt på Oscar & Clothilde.

Vy från soffgruppen in mot matrummet. Franska fåtöljer, bergèrer, i nyrokoko. Ekskåp från 1700-talet och i taket har kristallkronan i rokokostil, från tidigt 1900-tal, fått sällskap av en myrtenkvist. Fotografi av döttrarna under ett besök i Rom.

Vardagsrummet rymmer såväl soffgrupp som arbetsbord och öppen spis. De mjuka sofforna kommer från Ire samt Svensk tenn. Karmfåtöljer i nyrokoko, kvadratiskt soffbord i glas från Italien och bakom syns Josef Franks soffbord, från Svenskt tenn. Kristallkronan är nytillverkad, från Carin & Carl, numera Garbo, och de ljusa, tungt fallande sidengardinerna från Curtainhouse Roy Judd.

Det fina pepparkakshuset ståtar på sidobordet från Nordiska galleriet. Det svarta Parsonbordet – i 1930-talsdesign från Parsons The new school for design i New York – kontrasterar mot nytillverkade gustavianska stolar och kristallkrona i rokokostil.

Rebecca, 8 år, har allt en flicka kan önska sig i sitt rum. Säng, bord och stolar är från Carin & Carl, numera Garbo. Taklampa från Solgården, tapet från Farmhouse och gunghäst inköpt i London.

Arbetsbordet är placerat vid fönstren med utsikt över vardagsrum och matsal. Bordet är ritat av Philippe Starck och karmstolen, i form av Josef Frank, ett unikt exemplar i vitt lackskinn. En antik guldspegel vilar tungt på golvet.

Ett kök som lika gärna kunde finnas på en stor lantgård. Köksinredning i cremefärg från Carin & Carl. Matbord och stolar i rokoko respektive gustaviansk stil. Kransarna i hemmet, av olivkvistar och mjuk en, är bundna av floristen Camilla Ek.

The story of the Sunny Little Beach House.

Once upon a time there was a little beach house that was cheery and full of sunshine. Families would go there to escape their hectic lives, relax and recharge. Every inch of the house was comfortable and eclectic, with varying textures and neutrals and bursts of yellows. The owner of the house likes it because at the moment she likes a bit of yellow, last year it was turquoise and perhaps next year it will be amethyst. It doesn't matter because all she has to do is change out the linens, some art work and re-paint the doors, a couple chairs and bath tub. Clever girl, that owner.
