White Winter Home.

 I fell in love with Ballard Designs many moons ago.  They just keep getting better and better every year.  This living room is perfection in my book.  The moment I laid eyes on it, I immediately thought of the idea of keeping the wall over the mantle bare in order to project a television image onto it from the ceiling.  When I asked my audio/videophile husband about the idea I could instantly see the wheels turning and head noddling, that it was a profoundly good idea.  So into the dream house file you go, living room pic.

Neutral and Natural

I like to call this look "Monochromagic".  There is no color, only white, black, wood, glass, metal, grey, wicker, silver, stone, linen and plants.  It is always a perfect combination that has a timeless look, since colors can be trendy. 

I still have some issues with avocado green and burnt orange since I grew up in the 70's.

Castle in the Sky.

This home is so perfect that I am having a hard time believing that it is real.  Hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I got to visit my sister and see her new home.  She is in the renovation process and hopefully with some more encouragement we can convince her to blog about it.  We also visited the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center,  I highly recommend it, especially in the month of April while the bluebonnets are in full bloom.  Enjoy, Heidi
